In the Northeast corner of England there’s a small island known as The Holy Island of Lindisfarne. Initially founded as a monastery in 635AD, it has become a small village of roughly 150 inhabitants with visitors numbering in the hundreds of thousands each year. The peaceful island wasn’t always so, and its history is full of Viking raids, Kings, and religious importance.
